Witness Support Officer

Our public sector client is looking for four Witness Support Officers to join their high profile ongoing Inquiry based in the Edinburgh city centre.

You will be part of a team of witness support staff who will be the critical interface between those engaging with the Inquiry and the Inquiry team, you must be able to build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of individuals and organisations. You will be working with people who are vulnerable and must be able to hold the highest level of confidentiality when supporting these individuals.

You must have a high level of effective interpersonal skills and an ability to deal with complex and sensitive issues.

Whilst it is not essential it would be highly advantageous if you were to have a background of working with survivors of abuse, an understanding of trauma and understand issues facing vulnerable witnesses.

Please note that BPSS security clearance will be necessary for this role therefore a Disclosure Scotland certificate will be required for this role.
