The Position
Do you have what it takes to oversee the busy housekeeping department? We have a position for an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to come and join us at Retallack Resort. As Assistant Housekeeping Manager, you will support the Housekeeping Manager in the smooth running of the housekeeping department and deputise for them in their absence.
Responsibilities
Responsible for supervising the day to day activities of the internal housekeepers, checkers and all outsourced housekeeping
Ensuring all housekeepers and checkers are trained on the department standard operating procedures and health and safety
Ensure all housekeepers daily work lists are compiled
Provide leadership, support and motivation to the housekeeping team and ensure we maintain high standards of excellence
Ensure all maintenance, repairs, stains and carpet repairs are reported to the Maintenance Manager
Ensuring all guest requests are carried out
The Person
Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
Must have previous experience within a similar role
Outstanding customer service skills
Should have a dedication to high standards and excellent eye for attention to detail
Must be computer literate, working with reservations software, word and excel is required
