Assisting with the provision of high quality teaching and research within the technical team, you will have the opportunity to gain experience and training in a wide variety of biology based subjects including Microbiology and Biochemistry. Initially emphasis will be on biological techniques including Aseptic Techniques, Prokaryotic & Eukaryotic Cell Culture  & Molecular Biology.

You will join us during a very exciting time as we further enhance our teaching facilities with a new STEM teaching building which represents an investment in excess of £10M to complement our multi million pound interdisciplinary ‘Superlab' teaching facility. The Clifton Campus is also undergoing an extensive regeneration program, which will offer outstanding student and staff facilities

Duties will include assisting other technicians in the provision of services to teaching and research laboratories, general cleaning and maintenance of laboratory equipment and helping with stock control.

You will possess a good standard of general education to GCSE level or equivalent in a relevant subject and you will have had some laboratory work experience ideally in a HE environment.

There is a requirement for the postholder to work outside normal office hours dependent on the needs of the business.
