Social Care Worker (FIF05542)
Working Pattern: 17.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year (job share)(Dayshift/Backshift/Nightshift & including weekends)
Contract Duration: Temporary for 1 year

You will contribute to meeting the personal, social and emotional needs of older people and their carers.
Fife Council pays the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate to employees earning less than £8.33 per hour. If the hourly rate of pay for the post is less than the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate a supplement will be paid.
Before confirming appointment, you will be required to obtain PVG Scheme Membership through Disclosure Scotland, in addition to which you will be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council.
You will contribute to meeting the personal, social and emotional needs of older people and their carers, including responsibility for assisting people with personal care, administering medication, care planning, keyworking and activities.
You will have the ability to achieve an SVQ Level III.
You will safely carry out the activities outlined above, it is essential to have the ability to comfortably kneel on beds and floors and be able to rise without difficulty.
You will work within Health and Safety requirements when using equipment provided for handling situations and being aware of individuals’ risk assessments is essential.
