Luxury Five Star Hotel and resort Requires an ambitious and motivated Maintenance Manager in Scotland, East coast offers an enviable lifestyle work life balance.Package circa GBP50/GBP52K with bonus, and packageThis Iconic Hotel resort spa and golf requires an individual who is comfortable with project management- long term schedules and planning and building-The Hotel and surrounding properties will be maintained to a rigorous and high standard and as such they are well known and highly regarded internationally and at home over 150 rooms and suites with full spa and facilities are complimented by ownership properties and residential and sporting buildings within the grounds.The role of Maintenance Manager- What is the main purpose of the role? * Ensure the buildings and surrounding grounds are kept in good repair, with emphasis on first class workmanship and an eye for detail. Particular attention must be paid to the Venues plant ensuring it is kept in an efficient functional order. * There is a small but dedicated team to oversea * A good percentage of this role is strategic and preventative and forward planning and projects for the ongoing development and improvementsKey Responsibilities and Duties * Check the maintenance record book daily and priorities tasks to ensure the highest standards of guest care are maintained at all times. * Supervise all external contractors to ensure first class workmanship with an aim to professional results. * Ensure that all requests made upon the department are carried out quickly, tidily and efficiently as possible with close links to the Housekeeper and all other departments. * Control and order stock items that are required for the running of the department. E.g. paint, light bulbs, within the set budgets and the General Managers signed purchase order. * Be self-motivated and work without supervision. * Be willing to work in emergency or the need arises to work outside the stated working week, including weekends. * Ensure that lights, electricity, gas and water are managed correctly in the whole property * Acquaintance of all installations of mechanical and electrical nature. * Report any malfunctions or mal-installations to the General Manager. * Call in contractors when required, with the General Managers authorisation keeping in line with the departments budgeted costs and the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. * Maintain the fire Precaution Equipment and carry out regular testing of said equipment. * Stay aware of all legislation that is relevant to your work and ensure that all legal requirements are met, including: licensing, Health and Safety at Work, COSHH, Environmental Health, Fire Precautions, Manual Handling and any others. * To comply with all health and safety legislation. * To be fully aware of the: * Accident reporting procedure * Maintenance fault reporting procedure * Fire policy for your departmentThe Ideal Candidate * Ideally you will have worked in Maintenance and/or Grounds keeping in a hotel or have had previous experience of working in maintenance. * It is essential that you have a high degree of flexibility, excellent time management and organisational skills as you will need to arrange any work needed around the busy schedule of the hotel. * You must also be willing to work in emergency or if the need arises to work outside the stated working week, including weekends.The package includes * A competitive salary * 28 days holiday each year, including bank holidays (this increases annually up to a maximum of 33 days) * Hotel based incentive schemes * Voluntary benefits including discounts on some travel, leisure time activities, health, retail and motoring * Discounted accommodation within the group with colleague rates at our other hotels * Long service awards which increase with service * Excellent training and development opportunities within both the hotel and the company * Financial rewards for delivering sensational service * Free meals on duty * There will be some assistance if relocation is requiredIf this sounds like you, please apply with your CV.
