What your role will be
Serco Leisure is recruiting an experienced and enthusiastic Technical Assistant (Part Time). You will provide a professional and effective minor works refurbishment, maintenance, service and repair function at the swimming pool. This role is part-time, working 24 hours Monday to Friday on the following shifts: 6 am to 2 pm or 8 am to 4 pm with the occasional overnight 10 pm - 6 am.
You will undertake technical checks and provide a reactive maintenance, service and repair works ensuring the building finishes, fixtures, fittings and equipment are duly maintained. You will be part of a technical team, mainly based at Basingstoke Aquadrome. The role will, however, require some flexibility around other local sites to support the centres within the Basingstoke area.
About you
You should be able to demonstrate that you possess experience of working in the building trade and/or services trade, ideally working in a similar semi-skilled or fully-skilled position. A qualification in building trade and/or services trade is desirable.
In return we offer staff benefits (such as membership to the facilities), 25 days' annual holiday (pro-rata for part-time hours) and a contributory pension.
