Role Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Conference & Banqueting Manager to join our award winning Conference and Banqueting team.

As Conference & Banqueting Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the Conference and Banqueting department. You will manage conferences and banquets ensuring consistency in setup and throughout the execution of the event. Together with the C&B Management Team, you will ensure that your staff are motivated and trained to meet the highest levels of guest care and service. You will oversee a management team, a team of regular staff members and temporary agency staff. You will be a part of the Food and Beverage team, working alongside other Food and Beverage Heads of Department.

Required Experience:


Previous management experience within a luxury hotel environment is essential as you will be overseeing luxury weddings and exclusive conferences and events
Well organised, outgoing and service-minded
Ability to multi-task and troubleshoot throughout the department
Excellent customer service skills & attention to detail
Impeccable personal appearance
Strong interpersonal skills, articulate and confident communicator
Handle pressure calmly and professionally
Thrive on working in a fast-paced and energetic environment
Sound financial knowledge and budgetary control experience
Development of training activities and Standard Operating Procedures
Personal preference to be on the floor and be prepared to get physically involved in set-ups, clear-downs, service and function requests
Rota development and staff scheduling
