ABOUT US The Health and Safety team acts in a coordinating function to ensure the protection of our guests, employees and any other visitors to our sites. In addition we protect the wider business interest by ensuring legal compliance as a minimum requirement. You will be responsible for promoting Health and Safety awareness, monitoring performance, undertaking audits and managing risk, as well as training employees on new legislation and requirements. You will provide a lead on all aspects of Health and Safety and be responsible for coordinating the function for the whole village, working in conjunction with the Fire Officer and our Technical Services department. This will involve working across all existing central buildings and accommodation units, as well as new construction projects, ensuring that we comply with statutory obligations and provide a safe environment for both staff and guests at all times. HOURS OF WORK You will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4 week period. Your hours of work will generally be 8.30am - 5pm, Monday to Friday, however there will be the occasional requirement for flexibility. ABOUT YOU Essential requirements: NEBOSH qualification (General Certificate) Direct experience of conducting risk assessments and investigations, ideally coupled with an ability to train others A good general standard of education Strong communication skills and the ability to work with staff at all levels Desirable requirements: Previous experience of delivering training programmes NEBOSH Diploma Closing date: 18 October 2016 at 12 Noon Interviews to be held on 26 and 27 October 2016
