Role overview:

The purpose of the role is to ensure that all collection requests are booked using the most cost effective route to market whilst still providing an excellent service and constantly looking for cost savings. You will need to use your initiative and show problem solving skills when coordinating van based solutions using 3rd party suppliers and our internal van network.

You will report into the Collections Manager, you will utilise your excellent organisational skills to create and implement solutions and also report on the efficiency of the service via meaningful KPI's and SLA's. You will be the main point of contact for the 3rd party supplier, the depot network and deal with incoming issues via Sales Customer Exective Team.

All About The Role

Reviewing the current route to market and advise of the most cost effective method.

Provide the costs of the collection to the Field and Internal Sales Teams via an internal costing tool.

Plan effective routes.

Communicate and manage 3rd Party Carriers/Depots to arrange new collections plus any additional/adhoc collections.

Communicating with Field and Internal Sales Teams confirming bookings.

Dealing with enquiries/escalations from the wider business.

Checking weekly invoices and challenge any discrepancies.

Ensuring all customer/escalations/claims are logged and up to date.

Working effectively with the depots to ensure that drivers are working towards schedule and meeting targets.

Provide feedback to internal Sales Teams with any packaging/collection issues.

Produce meaningful KPI's and weekly reporting.

Regularly review current collections for any cost savings.

Respond to all incidents in a timely manner

All About You

PC literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office/Excel/Power Point

Able to analyse data an produce regular KPI reports

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Have a flexible approach and attitude to work

Excellent organisational skills

Ability to work under pressure and take initiative

Preferably you will have worked in a Logistics/Supply Chain environment however this is not essential
