An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new General Manager to take the lead at The Ash Tree, Ashford, Middlesex.
The Ash Tree is a great friendly locals pubs situated in the residential area of Ashford, Middlesex. A warm welcome is always expected along with a fresh range of well looked after cask beers and delicious fresh food. The Ash Tree is a great venue for events and entertainment ranging from monthly Cook Off events, to live music to charity events. The pub is a real heart in the local community with a big age range of clientele from long standing locals, to families and local office workers at lunch times. The pub also has a function room which provides a great venue for private functions, parties and meetings. There is also a patio area which is used throughout the year. A real unique element to this pub is the vegetable garden, where we grow herbs and vegetables throughout the year. The Pub is also a great sports pub, with both SKY and BT sports, along with darts and pool teams. The pub has something for everyone and there is always something going on to keep everyone entertained.
We are looking for a General Manager or a Management Trainee looking to take on their first site that will take hold of The Ash Tree and become the heart in the local community. We are looking for someone that will engage and network with the local community and the many locals and offices in the area. The applicant needs to be able to have the ability to come up with great ideas for events and charity events as entertainment is a very important aspect of this business. A love of sports and being able to have great banter with your locals are key, as are green fingers for continuing with the upkeep of the thriving vegetable garden.
Success in this business will be to enhance the offer with a strong team to deliver it, so someone with a passion for training and developing their people and engaging with their customers and being a real heart in the local community is crucial.
