Pay Rates from GBP8.25 per hour depending on experience and qualifications

Working to a rotating shift pattern covering 7 days a week including alternate weekends

A flexible approach is needed to cover other shifts when needed

Abbeyfield are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Night Care Assistant to join a happy and quality focused team to work at their impressive Dementia Care Home in Winnersh.

Working as a Senior Night Care Assistant for Abbeyfield you will ensure that services are provided that respect individual rights and choices while offering support, empathy, compassion and privacy.

We are looking for a cheerful, approachable, knowledgeable and professional Senior who has good knowledge of the CQC regs and care standards. You will also need a motivated and enthusiastic approach along with a positive attitude and strong leadership skills. You will need to be supportive and value your staff and be able to recognise training and development needs and recommend to your manager as required.

Excellent communication skills both verbally and written is essential, as is experience of carrying out risk assessments, updating care plans, holding team meetings, conducting staff supervisions and mentoring and monitoring staff ensuring a quality service is delivered at all times. Liaising with families, external agencies, GP/NHS services and colleagues is also an important part of being a Senior Care Assistant for Abbeyfield.

You will need to have already achieved your NVQ level 3, have an up to date Moving and Handling certificate and have the ability to work using your own initiative under pressure in a diverse and changing environment.
