Regional Electrician

Regional Electrician, Salary: Up to £26,561 PA, Based; Wakefield, covering the region, Working on a 3 month contract initialy, though this could become permanent.

We have an exciting opportunity for a regional Electrician to join the market leading provider of Portable cabins / accommodation, Secure Storage Solutions,  Modular buildings and associated products. Applicants will need to be a fully qualified electrician, preferably with the Inspection & testing qualification, though not essential.

The regional electricians are multi-skilled and carry out numerous tasks every day on the company fleet of temporary accommodation / portable cabins for hire. You will be involved in most general repair and maintenance tasks on customer sites which will involve quick and accurate diagnosis of faults or breakdowns; effective repair of faulty equipment and the installing and dismantling of unit’s and associated equipment.  You will also be involved with preparing electrical installations and ensure they are “safe and fit for purpose” in compliance with BS7671 17th edition of the wiring regulations.

The environment is a busy one, with lots of variety and plenty of opportunity to develop your skills. You would need to have a willingness to learn; the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team; a flexible approach to work and working hours (including regular overtime) and to have a good mix of general maintenance work experience.  Ideally you may hold a CSCS card and have good health and safety awareness.

Candidate Requirements;

• You will have served a regognised Electrical Apprenticeship complete with the AM2 Certificate and must also hold relevant electro technical qualifications in electrical installation work including City & Guilds 2382-12 17th edition requirements for electrical installations
• City & Guilds 2391-10 inspection & Testing, or associated relevant qualifications would be highly advantageous but not essential.
• Qualification in Portable Appliance Testing (PAT testing) is also desirable but not essential.
