The Service

We have vacancies for Support Workers to work across 2 services in Aldershot. The 2 services support a total of 11 people with severe learning difficulties with all aspects of personal care and everyday living skills.

Who we are

United Response is a leading national charity providing support to young people and adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs.  We believe in championing the right of disabled people to live, work, socialise and participate in the community, free of discrimination and unnecessary boundaries.

Who we are looking for

We need reliable and passionate people with great common sense and who are able to use their own initiative to join our team of Support Workers, supporting people out in the community, as well in their own homes.  You’ll help them cook, clean, pay bills, apply for jobs, make friends and a thousand things in between. A sense of humour would be an asset when joining this close knit team.

A driving license would be desirable but not essential.

Not got any experience?

Don’t worry!  Those new to care will be fully supported.  Our comprehensive training programme offers everyone – regardless of previous knowledge and experience – the chance to create a career they can be proud of.

What we need from you

You need compassion, integrity and to treat people with dignity and respect.  You need to be reliable because people are depending on you, be able to travel between locations and work flexibly, including evenings, weekends and overnight as needed.  You also need to be a great communicator, both verbally and in writing and have basic IT and numerical skills.

The benefits

In return for your passion and commitment, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including:

20 days paid annual leave (plus 8 bank holidays, pro rata for part time), which increases after 3 and 5 year of service
pension contribution
Childcare vouchers
Access to free occupational health, physiotherapy, counselling and advice services
Fully paid training and access to nationally recognised qualifications
