Estates Contracts Manager
LOCATION: Aldershot, Hampshire
JOB TITLE: Next Generation Estates Contracts Manager
SALARY: Starting at £30,797 per annum
BENEFITS: 25 days annual leave (which may be extended to 30 days subject to qualifying service) plus 9 days public and bank holidays. In addition, those who are eligible to join the pension scheme will receive a 6% non-pensionable enhancement to offset superannuation contributions. An Association car is also provided.
WORKING HOURS: Permanent, full time
THE COMPANY: Our client based in Aldershot, Hampshire are an organisation that provides support to the Reserve Forces and Cadets of all three Services throughout Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Kent, Oxfordshire, Surrey and East & West Sussex. This includes the 3 core pillars of estate and facilities management, engagement (community and employer) and cadets and youth, aimed at managing the volunteer estate and promoting support for the Reserves and Cadets. They are currently looking for a Next Generation Estates Contracts Manager to join their team in a new role.
THE ROLE: Based in Aldershot, Hampshire, you will report to the Head of Estates and will be responsible for Facilities Management including the provision, monitoring and management of Assurance, Training and Health & Safety in line with ISO 9001.
Key Responsibilities of the Next Generation Estates Contracts Manager to include:-
Line management responsibility for a number of support staff
Carry out a continuous program of assurance audits across the Estate outputs
Assist in the development of appropriate best practice policy, process and procedures for all aspects of Estate management
Develop a rigorous and effective training program to further develop the highly skilled and motivated work force
Lead in all Maintenance and Construction Health projects ensuring compliance with all Health and Safety Policies, Audit and Assurance
Be the first point of contact for all health and safety matters and reporting
Ensuring the Environmental Management policy is implemented at each estate
Monitor contracts for soft FM routines such as waste management, grounds maintenance and cleaning contracts
Fleet vehicle management including the purchasing, insurance and auditing
To work with the Estates Officers & Local site management to expand the opportunity for Regionally Generated Income through letting and hiring premises.
THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate for the Next Generation Estates Contracts Manager position will have broad experience in the Facility/Estates or Maintenance Management field. You should be able to work reliably and consistently, effectively documenting work, compiling business cases & reports as necessary. Change management experience, IT literate and a flair for providing innovative solutions are essential.
Essential skills for the Next Generation Estates Contracts Manager role:
Full driving licence
Able to commute to Aldershot and travel to other sites, as required
Experience in the Facility/Estates or Maintenance Management field
Line Management experience
Fleet Vehicle Management
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001
