Data Security Engineer/developer- Banking

I have a very exciting opportunity working for a leading investment house. You will develop, maintain, test and evaluate big data solutions within the banks next generation Big Data Platform. You will also be involved in the design of big data solutions matching Big Data capabilities to priority business challenges. Building and maintaining applications with cutting-edge Big Data technology to resolve complex business challenges. The right candidate will have an understanding of data and will be able to look at data in its entirety taking great consideration to the security implications involved with developing a new data platform. This is an essential part as being able to asses potential security issues through understanding security from a hackers point of view will be crucial in building a resilient and secure platform.

Alongside this a good understanding of Agile methodology, continuous integration and automated releases. Experience in engineering software platforms and large-scale data infrastructures is a must

Key Skills:

• Python
• Comfortable on Bash Scripting experience.
• Linux Administration
• Understanding of data security and how data could be hacked to avoid potential security issues
• SQL
• Linux/Hadoop
• Cloud-based data solution implementations (Desired)
• BI Tools experience (Desired)
