Residential Support Worker
There are not many careers that allow you to give back to your community whilst enabling you to build a career that is fulfilling to be proud of. At Cherish Childrens Care we are looking to expand our team of care professionals and are recruiting a Residential Children's Worker.
Cherish Childrens Care are a provider of residential children's homes across the North West, specialising in the care of children and young people with behaviour management difficulties.
You will be providing care and support to the children and young people during the day and night, participating in the running of the home and working with the other members of the team to ensure that the children remain safe and happy. Working with children with challenging behaviour you will need to be resilient and able to build positive relationships with them and the professionals you come into contact with.
You will be required to work shifts including weekends, evenings, sleep ins and Bank Holidays. A full UK manual driving licence is essential.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
· NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care- Children or equivalent
· 6 months experience working within a children's residential setting
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
· The ability to lead a team of care professionals
· To be self-motivated and task orientated
· The ability to embrace differences in values, cultures and religions
