£15,507 - £16,191 pro rata
Part-time, 20 hours per week
At Ampthill Day Centre, we take pride in providing an excellent, personalised service for our customers. We want them to have a brilliant quality of life, and feel safe, empowered and respected. As our Cook, you'll find your greatness by giving those in our care a welcoming and refreshing experience.
With your high standards, you'll prepare, cook and produce dishes that tickle the taste buds. Keeping in mind any dietary requirements, your menus will be top-notch and enjoyed by all. You'll oversee the kitchen and assist with any clearing or cleaning, ensuring everything is hygienic and meets health and safety standards. Plus, by liaising with the Centre Manager, you'll place orders for ingredients and take control of your budgets.
Importantly, you'll enjoy socialising with our customers, rather than hiding away behind-the-scenes. Aft er all, you'll play an integral part in their overall experience, so friendly communication skills are essential. It's about giving warm, caring service that means our customers leave the day centre brimming with positivity. To join, you'll need a relevant NVQ (or equivalent) and experience working in a commercial kitchen.
Above all, we're looking for someone who is committed to providing fantastic meals, and are proud to see customers really enjoying their food.
