We have a new exciting opportunity at Forest Heath District Council & St Edmundsbury Borough Council for a Marketing Officer to join our team based in Bury St Edmunds. The successful candidate will join us on a full time, temporary basis for 12 months whilst the post holder is on maternity leave and will receive a competitive salary of £23,935 - £29,033 per annum plus a unique benefits package.
About the Marketing Officer role
Working closely with the Marketing Manager to devise a web and social media strategy that will develop and strengthen marketing and promotions for the Apex and other West Suffolk venues.
The Marketing Officer plays a key role in marketing the services of West Suffolk’s Leisure and Cultural Services. This includes The Apex, an award-winning concert hall in Bury St Edmunds, the Bury Festival, Moyse’s Hall Museum, West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village and Country Park, Abbey Gardens, Nowton Park and East Town Park.
This is a key role, to support the identification of opportunities to increase sales from web and social media activities. The post supports and delivers marketing and promotional strategies including identifying new audiences.
What we’re looking for in our Marketing Officer
The successful candidate will be highly organised, able to work to tight timescales, demonstrate experience in a variety of marketing media work and have the ability to communicate to a wide range of audiences. You will ideally be financially competent.
