Cambridge University Press has a unique opportunity available for an Internal Sales Executive to join the team. The role is a full time, permanent position offering a salary of circa £20,000 per annum plus benefits.

Our Education group is building a new sales team and we are looking for experienced and enthusiastic sales people.  Each team member will work on pre-determined sales campaigns, promotional activity, renewals/subscription projects, market research and appointment and lead generation activity.  The role will require some flexibility as the operation grows and develops.

What are the responsibilities of the Internal Sales Executive?

With the guidance of the European Sales Manager and Team Supervisor, the team will deliver revenue against targets across individual campaigns.  This will encompass the following activities:

- Delivery of sales and lead generation to/from schools customers  and distributors across a number of global territories, using email, telephone and Webex sales activity

- Establish effective relationships with customers and agents across the UK and overseas

- Ensure strong revenue growth across campaigns whilst delivering excellent customer service

- Complete and implement sales lead activity with some supervision

- Manage and maintain accurate records using CRM systems and Excel spreadsheets

- Undertake both sales and customer training/demo calls

- Use KPI’s to manage goals and objectives to measure against performance

What skills do I need to have to become an Internal Sales Executive?

You will have relevant experience in a sales role, ideally in an education environment. We are looking for creative sales individuals with a positive attitude towards change. Great communication and presentation skills are a must, as is the ability to work under pressure.  You will thrive in an atmosphere of healthy competition and be keen to achieve targets.
