A respected regional refurbishment contactor is searching for a construction professional that has experience in
Estimating, Quantity Surveying and Contracts Management.
Based in Southampton this contractor has built up comprehensive range of small works and refurbishment services
to leading names in housing, healthcare, education, hotel & leisure and commercial sectors throughout the UK.
Due to a long serving member of staff retiring they are looking for the new incumbent to price tenders, management
of cost and construction of project from inception to final account.
The Role of Estimator/Surveyor/Contracts Manager
Producing bills of quantities from drawings and specifications.
Cost comparison and subcontractor selection.
Preparing and submitting subcontract enquiries.
Aiding in the production of competitive tenders to generate business from new and existing clients
Preparation of project budgets, checking projects contracts, administering projects Contracts.
Measurement of project to check quantities against tender allowances.
Preparation of tender documents for any sub contract works and specialist suppliers.
Set budgets for, and raise payments, for subcontract labour; manage variations as they occur; producing fortnight
cost reports to their Clients.
Ensure an awareness of their key responsibilities under the contract; ensure regular agreement of site instructions
with the client. Ensure payments are received on time in accordance with the contractual payment terms; ensure retention
monies are released when due.
Prepare and discuss the final account for projects. Negotiate and agree final accounts within parameters set by Line
Prepare monthly Cost Value Reports.
Client liaison and sub contract management while supporting the Site Manager on site.
