AS0133 - Social Care Officer
Due to the continued expansion within our service; additional temporary opportunities have arisen for part-time Social Care Officers for the period up to 31st March 2017; after which time posts will be reviewed.
You will be responsible for the assessing and planning of outcome based assessments and reassessments which are effective in promoting independence and meeting individuals desired outcomes and aspirations.
You must have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels taking into account the variety of complex, contentious and sensitive situations that occur both internal and external to the organisation. You must have the ability to prioritise your workload and work without constant supervision and in addition, work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
You will work 18.5 hours per week and you are required to commit to a rostered working pattern including weekends over a 7 days worked over a 14 day period in the Long-Term Team; the current shift times being 9am until 2.47pm.
The post will require periods of lone working.
You must have the ability to be mobile across the Council area.
