Business Development ManagerSalary: 70K + CommLocation: South EastThe Client:A Catering Company with an enviable client portfolio working across all business sectors throughout the UK. The company now wish to recruit a business development manager to plan and implement sales and marketing activities in order to meet company targets for growth and profitability.The Role: Formulate, develop and drive the company's strategy for the generation of new business.Initiate and develop relationships with potential customers in a structured fashion.Project manage each opportunity and develop innovative tailored solutions to achieve customer's requirementsDevelop commercial models and pricing to ensure competitive advantage, margin and risk. Develop a full understanding of the competitor position/proposal for each opportunity and ensure that up to date information is available on all key competitors. Research industry trends and movements so that innovative and leading edge solutions are provided whilst identifying the risks associated with each solution.Ensure a full understanding of the pricing approach working with specialists from operations and accounts team. Develop a contract negotiation strategy that ensures a fair and equitable deal, manages risk and ensures compliance with bid. The Candidate: Relevant professional third level qualifications with exceptional interpersonal and organisational skillsOver ten year's operations/area level catering industry experience with last 3-5 in business development incl. bid/proposal management for diverse client base. Up to date knowledge of current trends in catering with the addition of facilities management an advantage.Experience of writing and managing compliant, successful bids and tenders for the public and private sectors. Ability to develop compelling, innovative and realistic commercial solutions and adjust the operating model to reflect the economic environment.Ability to represent the company at business presentations and P.R. events.Strong PR, accountancy, IT and customer service skills Interested in this challenge - send your CV to .
