FINTEC recruit is seeking a Commis Chef for our client based in Hertfordshire, a 2AA Rosette Hotel Restaurant. This is a permanent position with a salary of £17,000.
You must have experience of working in a similar role in a 4* establishment. Live - in accommodation is available.
As a Commis Chef you will cook and prepare food according to the requirements of the menu, whilst maintaining all aspects of food safety within the kitchen.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Produce mis en place for each day and the following day's service
- Maintain food safety procedures, particularly food temperatures, food labelling, high risk food temperatures and cleaning schedule
- Meet customer expectations
- Minimise waste
- Adhere to procedures regarding daily spend and kitchen budgets, wastage, staff feeding and kitchen transfer logs
- Ensure that the restaurant and kitchens are maintained in a high standard of cleanliness
