This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Frontend Developer to join a leading Financial Services company working across their award winning Global consumer facing products.
They are looking for a passionate front-end technical specialist, to help shape and drive their front-end vision. Working closely with three development teams, the ideal candidate will work with the technical manager, team leads and product owner to deliver a wide range of projects.
This is a hands on role for a skilled front-end technical developer with a proven track record of technical leadership who enjoys working closely with developers and stakeholders throughout the full life-cycle of a project.
Role:
• Work with teams to ensure successful scoping of projects from the initial elaboration stage to the point where development can begin, ensuring sound architectural principles have been applied and the appropriate technologies and frameworks have been used
• Training and mentoring junior members of the tech team
• Work with stakeholders throughout the full project life-cycle.
Experience:
• Excellent web front end development experience
• Extensive JavaScript knowledge including ES6/7
• Solid understanding of JQuery, HTML5, AJAX, REST, JSON
• Experience of using React and Flux
• Experience of using Mocha, Jasmine or Jest
• Styling experience with CSS3, SASS or LESS.
• Experience of using Selenium
• Deep knowledge of OO and design patterns and SOLID principles
• Excellent understanding of Agile development practices and proven success with applying them
• Passionate about continuous improvement both at a personal and technical level
• Experience of applying both TDD and BDD and automated acceptance testing
• Enjoys training and mentoring other developers in improving their software engineering skills and enjoys working with colleagues in both on shore and off shore teams
Education:
• Degree level education 2:1 or higher (preferably in software engineering).
