Demi Chef de Partie

FINTEC recruit is seeking a Demi Chef de Partie for our Hospitality client based in Hertfordshire. This is a permanent position with a salary of £17k - £18k depending on experience.

You must have experience of working in a similar role in a 4* establishment. Live - in accomodation is available.

As a Demi Chef de Partie you will cook and prepare food according to the requirements of the menu, whilst maintaining all aspects of food safety within the kitchen.

Roles and Responsibilities

As a Demi Chef de Partie your responsibilities will include the following:-

• Constantly demonstrate, develop and maintain agreed food standards within the kitche

• Contribute towards menu planning & costing as requested

• Report any maintenance issues

• Maintain food safety procedures

• Ensure that fridges and equipment used during shifts are regularly cleaned

• Make every effort to minimize waste

• Adhere to procedures regarding daily expenditure and kitchen budgets, wastage, staff feeding and kitchen transfer logs

• Be flexible with regards to working different shifts and working within all areas of the kitchen to build up knowledge and skills and create maximum efficiency

• Make every effort to meet customer expectations

• Take effective action on customer complaints to achieve customer satisfaction

• Assist in the training and coaching of trainee chefs as requested

• Take every opportunity to improve your own knowledge and skills in the kitchen

• Take pride in what you do, your department and what we have to offer

• Adhere to the Company's rules regarding appearance and personal hygiene at all times

• Ensure that the restaurant and kitchens are maintained in a high standard of cleanliness
