Do you have experience of working in Job Centre+ with work programme providers or in a similar role with other employment sector specialists? Would you like to be part of an organisation that counts on the professionalism, insight, expertise and passion of its staff to inspire individual recovery for the people they work with? Then join us as a team leader.

Recovery Focus is a new group of expert charities with the shared aim to inspire individual recovery nationwide. Between us we have a track record of more than 200 years of developing and running personalised services that work with people with mental health, substance misuse and other complex needs to achieve their ambitions. Each partner organisation has its own rich history of success, but together we believe we can lead the way in evidence-based recovery pathways, tailored to meet local and individual needs.

Right now, one of our partners, Richmond Fellowship, is looking for a team leader to join the team at the Mid Surrey Employment Service, which covers the boroughs of Elmbridge, Epsom and Ewell, Mole Valley, Guildford and Waverley. The service helps clients with a diagnosed mental health condition (including anxiety, depression, and ADHD,) who are out of work but keen to get back into employment, as well as those in work and experiencing mental health issues. But it’s only possible with people like you.

Join us in this vital front line management role and you’ll be responsible for everything from day-to-day service delivery and client support through to the management of service contracts and staff and building maintenance. We’ll also rely on you to manage the risk load within your designated service and carry out any investigations arising from clients. Ensuring data entry onto our MI and reporting systems is accurate and timely will be important too, as will taking responsibility for a budget and identifying any staff training needs. In short, you’ll do all you can to make sure the service we provide is nothing less than exceptional.

Preferably with a QCF in Advice & Guidance (ideally Level 4) you have a proven background in a relevant role and the ability to lead, supervise and motivate staff and delegate work appropriately. What’s more, you’re solution focused and outcome driven, with an open, encouraging and flexible approach and a firm but inclusive management style. You also have lots of tact and diplomacy and are adept at managing conflicting demands and priorities in order to meet deadlines. Happy to travel locally as required and participate in on call arrangements, experience of managing budgets and/or carrying out investigations while useful, is not essential.

In return, you can expect some great benefits, including 25 days' holiday, contributory pension scheme, employee assistance programme and childcare vouchers, plus exceptional professional development and training opportunities.

So, get inspired and take the first steps towards a more fulfilling career.
