An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Qualified Assessor/Trainer in Construction at New College Nottingham. You will be based at Basford Hall - the largest construction training academy in the whole of the region, in our spectacular, brand new state-of-the-art facility. This is an inspirational place to learn for students who want careers in construction, science, technology and engineering, and provides amazing new workshop spaces and fantastic teaching facilities.

In this role you will train and assess on the Construction programmes so you will need a broad range of skills. These include Level 2 and 3 qualifications including Site Carpentry and Bench Joinery. You should possess relevant industrial experience in the specific Construction sector and demonstrate an enthusiastic approach to training, learning and assessing always putting the learner first and ensuring their success.

Working on a range of apprenticeship programmes, the successful candidate will hold relevant qualifications and awards:

  • A1 and TAQA, or equivalent are essential
  • V1 or equivalent are essential
  • A Teaching Qualification would be desirable
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Carpentry/Joinery
