St Vincent College has one of the largest, post 16 specialist units in the Country supporting 200 students with additional needs and offering a truly inclusive educational experience for students aged 14-25.
We are seeking to employ a fully qualified maths teacher experienced in teaching students with Learning Difficulties and Disabilities and those with Physical, Medical, Communication and Behaviour, Emotional and Social Difficulties (BESD) to support the continued growth and development of our specialist curriculum.
You will have responsibility for the following:
- Teaching maths on a range of discrete courses within the Learning Support Unit from Entry Level 1 to Level 2
- Be able to teach Functional Skills and numeracy-based BTEC and Gateway Units
- Supporting the implementation of processes and procedures regarding SEND Reforms, including contributing to annual reviews, progression planning and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP)
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
