This company was founded on the mission of making personalised medicine a reality by harnessing and making available the therapeutic and regenerative power of their precious stem cells to address the growing need of lifesaving stem cells transplantation.
They are a privately owned company founded in 2008 and engaged in the development of stem cell and personalised medicine technologies. The company has a strong R&D division which houses a multi-patent protected asset pipeline involving the commercialisation of biologics drug discovery, stem cell transfusion medicine applications and biomolecular diagnostics.
They are looking for a Finance Assistant to join their Head Office and play a key role in supporting the business to grow.
Main Job Purpose
- General accounting support including, purchase and debtor ledgers, journals, reconciliations
Key Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Updating and maintain accounting journals and ledgers in Sage software on a daily basis
- Purchase ledger invoice and credit note management
- Sales ledger and credit note management including preparation and submission of customer invoices as required by CRM system and customer payments
- Bank reconciliation
- Analysis of discrepancies or unpaid invoices
- Correspond with suppliers and respond to enquiries
- Assist in month end reporting procedures
- Assist with employee expense reports
- Perform filing and general administrative tasks
- Liaise with other departments and divisions effectively as required by the nature of the role
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and managers
- Comply with Company SOPs
- Undertake other related duties as required
Essential Skills
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Proficient in Sage software
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent IT skills in Microsoft products including Excel, Word, Powerpoint etc.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Excellent written and spoken English
Preferred or Desirable Skills
- Good problem solving skills
- Team work
- Ability to meet deadlines
