Our client is a specialist Geotechnical contractor and innovator, working globally within both the onshore and marine environments, for the marine infrastructure, energy and construction sectors.
Health, Safety, Security and Environment Advisor
Working from their Wallingford office, this challenging and exciting opportunity will require the successful applicant to be a member of a pro-active HSSE team, working within all areas of the business, with a primary focus on their onshore (land) activities, but will also include support to their marine geotechnical and survey activities.
Promoting a culture where risk and safety management is at the heart of all their services, the applicant will provide reliable advice, guidance and assistance to company facilities and site based project teams, including senior and line management and influence all key stakeholders.
The applicant must be an excellent communicator and able to build effective working relationships at all levels throughout the company and with their clients. The applicant will also need to be able to challenge poor practice and recommend cost effective solutions.
They are looking for a candidate who is a self starter, with appropriate NEBOSH / NVQ qualifications. The applicant must be able to demonstrate practical skills and experiences gained within the construction industry and have held a similar role for a minimum of 5 years. An excellent understanding of ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 will also be an advantage.
As a member of the HSSE team the applicant will be required to travel both nationally and international and report directly to the HSSE Manager.
