Due to accelerated growth a position has become available for a Trade Counter Sales Advisor to join an award-winning UK bathroom retailer. Working as part of a sales team in Leigh, Lancashire, along with the Assistant Manager and the Showroom Manager, the Trade Counter Sales Advisor will earn an hourly rate of £7.94.

As a Trade Counter Sales Advisor you will be mainly responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations. Reporting to the Assistant Manager and Trade Counter Manager, your main duties and responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
  • Achieving/exceeding in store and phone KPI’s/Targets put in place by up-selling and cross selling
  • Greeting customers who enter the store
  • Assisting shoppers to find the goods and products they are looking for
  • Delivering all round excellent customer service and ensuring customers have a great shopping experience
  • Responsible for dealing with customer complaints and queries both in store and over the phone
  • Giving advice and guidance on product selection to customers
  • Sales order processing and handling returns, exchanges and collections
  • Being responsible for processing cash and card payments
  • Relief key holding in the absence of management
  • Keeping the store clean & tidy, this may include cleaning at times
  • Attaching price tags to merchandise on the shop floor
  • Receiving and storing the delivery of any stock
  • Keeping up to date with special promotions and putting up displays
To be considered for the Trade Counter Sales Advisor position you must have a comprehensive understanding of your area of sales i.e. retail, fast moving consumer goods, bathroom equipment etc. In addition, you must possess the following key skills and experience:
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of word and excel, email and general computer systems
  • Positive attitude, reliable
  • Confident, helpful and polite
  • Friendly and engaging personality
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Strong time-management skills
  • Assistants should be physically fit as they will be on their feet for a large part of the day and involves lifting
  • Ability to work as part of a sales team
  • Knowledge of inventory techniques
  • Smart appearance and articulate
