Health & Safety Assistant

Salary: £23,000 pro-rata

Hours: 30 Hours per week

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated individual to join our Health and Safety Team. Your main responsibilities will be to manage the work placement of students in accordance with health, safety and insurance legislation and provide general assistance and support to the Health and Safety Adviser, ensuring safe practice across all College sites.

You will need a high level of personal integrity, with proven experience of handling sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy and with complete regard for confidentiality.

You will be qualified to Level 3 Health and Safety and be IT literate with experience of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).You will also have excellent communication skills and excellent hazard spotting skills across a wide range of disciplines.

An extremely organised approach is required together and the ability to prioritise and manage a heavy caseload is essential to meet deadlines, as are flexibility and responsiveness to change.
