Cape is an international leader in the provision of essential industrial services principally to the energy and mineral resources infrastructure sectors. Our range of multi-disciplinary services includes the traditional services of access, insulation, coatings and mechanical and a range of specialist services including oil and gas storage tanks, heat exchanger replacement and refurbishment, and environmental services.
We are now looking to recruit a Senior HR Business Partner to join our growing Human Resources team, for our Southern Region which extends from East Anglia to South Wales. In addition to supporting the operational teams at site-level, where you will be working in conjunction with a centralised HR Shared Service, you will also be responsible for supporting our Corporate Head Office in West London.
The HR function at Cape is evolving rapidly, so the role offers real scope to impact upon and shape the business, as well as coaching and supporting senior managers in leadership ability and HR best practice.
The key Senior HR Business Partner responsibilities include:
- Supporting senior management with strategic people issues
- Advising on employee relations issues, for both blue and white collar employees
- Assisting with the development of Company policies
- Coaching and developing senior managers
- Assisting with HR input into bids and tenders
- Contributing to the people plan
- Identifying talent within the organisation
By showcasing your positive and proactive approach, with a focus on results, you will quickly develop the strong working relationships that are required with key stakeholders, including the senior operational team.
The environment is fast-paced and varied so your workload will change on a daily basis. In order to be successful you will need to demonstrate the ability to manage your time, workload and internal stakeholders.
In addition, to be considered for the Senior HR Business Partner position you will need to have:
- Proven experience in HR as a Senior Business Partner or similar
- Experience of supporting a Corporate Head Office
- CIPD qualification
- Hands-on employee relations experience
- Detailed knowledge of employment law
- An enquiring, challenging and driving attitude
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commercial acumen
- Confidence in promoting values, managing change and dealing with conflict and ambiguity
