Family Support Worker £23,935 - £27,394 pro rata

37 hpw, 39 weeks per year (term time, inclusive of PD Days).

Centrally located in the thriving, historic town of Newmarket, Houldsworth Valley is a growing, happy and caring school, unique, for our ethos ‘The Best For All ~ From Each The Best' as our use of restorative practice and, above all else, our enthusiastic, lively and creative pupils who are
challenging, inspiring and rewarding to work with.

We wish to appoint a suitably qualified experienced and motivated person to join our Care and Guidance team to support the work of the school in raising the achievement and aspirations of vulnerable children and families where social and emotional issues are proving to be barriers to the child's educational progress.

Work experience related to health, child protection, social service, mentoring, counselling, behaviour management and/or working with parenting programmes would be beneficial.

You will also need to be proactive, enthusiastic, flexible and confident, with excellent communication and organisational skills.

If you think you have the experience, drive and skills to deliver as exceptional support service we want to hear from you.

Full details and application forms are available at

Please return completed applications to the school.

Closing date: midday, 31 October 2016.
Interviews: 3 November 2016.

This authority is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. DBS checks or police vetting will be required for relevant posts.
