About the role

Job Purpose : You will lead on the Springboard Communication and Evaluation activities, guiding the marketing and promotional activities on the project including support for delivery partners as part of a holistic communications plan.

Reports to : Springboard Programme Manager

Working with : Deputy Chief Executive, Springboard Quality and Monitoring Adviser, MIS administrator, Talent Match Evaluation Officer

Duties and Responsibilities ;

Lead on the development, delivery and review of Marketing and Communication plan and activities.

This will include coordination of PR and Marketing activities that ensure the project engages with participants, employers and other key stakeholders.

Develop and maintain a user-friendly Springboard project website that enables our stakeholders to access relevant information effectively and efficiently. Develop and update Springboard course and delivery partner listings in various formats according to need.

Lead on the project's Digital Marketing activities including development of appropriate Springboard social media channels.

Support and advise delivery partners in relation to most effective Marketing and PR activities, as well as adherence to EU publicity requirements.

Plan and manage Marketing and Evaluation events as required.

Lead on the systematic monitoring and evaluation of Springboard project activities, with responsibility for producing reports as required by HLC, DWP / LEP, Delivery Partners and Springboard Steering Group.

Provide regular evaluative analysis to the Springboard Programme Manager and Quality and Monitoring Adviser, including collation, analysis and reporting on participant experience, to inform planning of provision and performance and quality review

You will provide effective day-to-day support for project staff, helping them to deal with any Communication or Evaluation issues.

Develop, distribute and analyse on-line questionnaires and surveys.

Conduct research into best practice from local, national and European perspective to support the development of Springboard activities and communicate these across delivery partners and other key stakeholders.

Develop partnership working across other relevant projects, eg, Big Lottery Talent Match and Exploring Opportunities

Support young people to design and conduct their own monitoring and evaluation activities through the dedicated Young People's Partnership, which will place beneficiaries at the heart of co-designing and co-delivering services and activities.  

You will be expected to maintain HLC's reputation by communicating effectively and courteously with all customers and stakeholders.

Manage the Communication and Evaluation budgets.

Evaluation of cross cutting themes including Quality and sustainability.

The post-holder will report directly to the Project Manager.

About you

To be considered for this role you will have a firm understanding of Word, Excel, and Outlook from a user's perspective.

You will have experience of managing communications and publicity activities for large scale projects, organisations and partnerships and be aware of what makes for effective marketing and evaluation tools and techniques.

You will have a creative and engaging personality with a real flair for innovation and problem-solving, as well as a vision for what makes attractive websites and digital communication work.

You will have the kind of interpersonal skills that clearly demonstrate you are a team player with the confidence to deal professionally with a wide range of people and agencies.

You will have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to produce clear and concise reports.

A good level of English and Maths.

You will have the ability to manage priorities, regularly act on your own initiative and to tight deadlines.
