Office, Membership and Financial Administrator
DSi is the international network advocating for people with Down syndrome. We are looking for someone to join our growing team to help take us to the next stage of our exciting development.
We are a small UK based charity, but our network extends to national Down syndrome organisations in 133 countries around the world. Working with this network, we provide information, support and advice to people with Down syndrome and their advocates, with a specific focus on developing countries. We represent the global Down syndrome community at the international level, including at the United Nations and we coordinate World Down Syndrome Day on 21 March each year and the World Down Syndrome Congress, held every 2 years in a different country.
The advertised role is crucial for the functioning of the charity and is also varied, including the administration of all our public enquiries, our membership, contacts, mailing, financial and potentially website systems, processing merchandise sales and potentially others tasks as may be required as a key part of a small, efficient team.
We are definitely looking for a team player with a confident manner and a professional, flexible, positive and studious approach, with a good standard of verbal and written English, numeracy and computer literacy, with an ability to communicate patiently and effectively.
Most of all you must have a genuine interest in advocating for the rights of people with Down syndrome and helping us to achieve our mission.
