Work Based Assessor in Hair, Beauty & Holistic Therapies 18.5 hours

York College is looking for an individual with strong communication skills to work with both Full Time and Part Time students to assess and monitor their progress on Level 2 &3 Hair and Beauty programmes.

You will visit Students within their placements and assess and review their progress, liaising with placement providers, dealing with any issues and feeding back to the relevant Progress Tutors and Business development unit.

You will need excellent communication skills over the telephone, by email and in person, dealing with young people, adults in Hair and Beauty setting and the Hair and Beauty team at the College. You should also be computer literate, well organised and be able to work effectively on your own and as part of the hair and Beauty team.

Successful applicants will hold a D32/33 or A1 Assessor Award (or equivalent).

In addition it is preferred, but not essential, for applicants to also hold a D34 or V1 Verifier Award (or equivalent).

Applicants must also be qualified to above Level 3 in a relevant Hairdressing and a advantage would be Beauty course.

Some evening work may be required.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced disclosure check.
