TECHNICIAN - MUSIC

Creative Industries - West Durrington Site

Salary: GBP18,037 per annum

Hours: 37 hours per week

Fixed Term contract until end July 2017

We are seeking to recruit a technician to assist in the delivery of a range of music performance and technology courses. You will develop and maintain our studio and computer resources and assist students and staff in the setup and use of music equipment, instruments, software and hardware.

We require a responsible, person with a strong interest in music and hands on practical work. You should have extensive knowledge and experience of Apple computers and OSX, Logic Pro, Protools, Ableton and other music and multimedia software, also a wide range of mixers, samplers, other music production hardware and musical instruments. A working knowledge of SSL desks would also be an advantage. The ability to work in a team and excellent organisation and people skills are essential. Your duties may include working on some evenings and Saturdays by rota.

You should have:-

  • Qualifications to Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant music performance/technology field
  • Relevant recent professional experience
  • Good IT skills including knowledge of relevant multimedia software
  • Good organisational and time keeping skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • A clean driving licence is essential as there will be a requirement to drive hired vans or College vehicles
