ESF Careers Cluster Co-ordinator (0.5) - Orpington
(Fixed Term until 1st May 2018)
London South East Colleges have been successful in becoming a subcontractor on the European Social Fund (ESF) project Careers Cluster. The broad aims of the Careers Cluster are: to support school and college leaders within geographical clusters to design a high quality careers guidance offer in partnership with employers and HEI's; to deliver continuous professional development to Cluster staff on careers learning and employer engagement; to match and support young people attending institutions within the Cluster into work placements and internships across London Growth Sectors; to improve the aspirations of white working class students on free school meals.
This role will sit in our contracts and partnerships department and the successful candidate will need to have a basic knowledge of the European Social Fund - Youth Programme (2014-2020).
The successful candidate will be working with one of the largest colleges in South East London - London South East Colleges was formed by a merger which happened on the 1st August 2016. It saw Greenwich, Bexley and Bromley College becoming one organisation of around GBP50 million.
As the College supports a number of children and vulnerable adults, all staff are exempt from Section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Accordingly, most staff will be subject to either a 'Standard' or 'Enhanced' DBS (formerly CRB) check.
