An award winning exhibitions and events agency are currently looking to recruit an accomplished Business Development Manager, who would be expected to play a pivotal role in helping the company meet and exceed its long term growth plans while providing a high standard of support to customers.

The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your sales career within a dynamic market leading business. Reporting to and working closely with the Sales Director, you would be tasked with identifying and self-generating new opportunities within target industry sectors, securing introductory discussions for the provision of delivering new business pitches. You will work with the team to develop proposals that address prospective clients' needs and meet objectives, before ensuring a seamless handover to the Project Manager and Account Director following a successful sale.

The Candidate
The ideal candidate for the role must have a proven track record in generating and winning new business and developing accounts within previous high profile B2B sales roles. You will be an influential sales professional, comfortable communicating at Director level with a consultative approach to sometimes complex technical sales. Strong commercial acumen will be required, as will a good understanding of marketing principles.

You must be IT literate and able to organise a varied workload and manage multiple project proposals plus your sales pipeline. You will be a confident, personable, and outgoing individual, self-motivated and articulate, able to work equally effectively alone or as part of a team. A flexible attitude will also be required as overseas travel plus occasional out of hours work will form part of the role.
