Job Description – Product Marketing Manager

Summary of the role

Are you a Product Marketing Manager or Product Manager with at least 5+ years’ experience in a business-to-business organisation? If so, our client want to hear from you.

As Product Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for championing how our client's products are positioned, both internally and externally. You’ll take ownership of creating all product related collateral including competitor analysis, battle-cards, and the product proposition by region. You’ll be passionate about understanding their customers mind set sand translating how their products meet their needs.  The role reports into the Marketing Director whilst also working closely with the Product department.

Product Marketing Manager Responsibilities
  • Develop the product positioning and messaging that differentiates our client's products in the market
  • Sales enablement – communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of their products
  • Product launches – plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan
  • Market intelligence – be the expert on their customers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be the expert on competition and how they will win against them
  • Assist colleagues in the marketing team by feeding product expertise and market insight into the Lead Generation Manager and Content team
  • Have a relentless focus on ensuring that their products are accurately represented in the market and positioned as ‘best in class’.

The Ideal Product Marketing Manager
  • Experience in / with Product Marketing or Product Management, ideally in a B2B environment.
  • Very strong written communication skills
  • A passion for technology
  • A confident presenter, capable of working independently with different departments
  • A self starter, comfortable with managing their own task lists and being proactive across the department and wider business.
