N T Killingley Ltd is an award winning landscape and bulk earthworks company based in Chesterfield.

To respond to increasing workload and diversity of projects, we are currently recruiting for an Engineer to work within the Earthworks department. You will be required to work under supervision of a Senior Engineer undertaking survey and setting out duties as well as help the training and monitoring of junior Engineers.

This is a Site/Office based role, travel required will be undertaken in company vehicle. You will be required to complete projects to the site requirements, ensuring Health and Safety, profit, productivity and quality targets are achieved.


  • £27,000 - £37,000 PA - determined on experience

Desirable Requirements:

  • CSCS
  • Full UK Driving licence
  • Familiarity with Leica survey equipment and, ideally, iCON branded equipment and machine control systems
  • Self-motivation with the ability to use own initiative
  • Be able to demonstrate suitable experience in related discipline
  • Have suitable experience at a Site level of suitably large or complex projects
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent commercial management skills and awareness
  • Good administration skills


  • Application and conformance to company ethos and a strong display of company values

  • Output excellent standard of work and provide professional outputs at all times

  • Undertake surveys and/or setting out using GPS, total stations, etc, accurately and efficiency and transferring information to applicable outputs for clients

  • Liaising with clients and maintaining good relationships

  • Motivating and training employees under your control

  • Input to systems improvement
