Offering an innovated, growing range of products and accessories they hold over 325 years of experience within this industry. We are now recruiting for a Engineering Development Technician to be based in Newton Aycliffe.


THE ROLE: As a Engineering Development Technician you will be responsible for all engineering activities associated with The Injection Moulding Department. This is a multi-skilled role with electrical bias. You will be responsible for machine and robot installation. The design and manufacture of special purpose machinery, jigs and fixtures used in the injection moulding department.


Engineering Development Technician's key responsibilities:

  • Designing and building of electrical control panels

  • Design and build assembly jigs and fixtures incorporating Poke Yoke Methodology

  • Equipment installations including robot, injection moulding machines and assembly equipment

  • Design and manufacture of robot end of arm tooling

  • Vacuum material feeding system installation

  • Installation of services including process water, compressed air & electricity

  • Fabricating in steel and aluminium



Key experience essential for the role:

  • Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers including Programming

  • Knowledge of Fanuc Robots

  • Understanding of the Injection Moulding Process

  • Able to read and build from technician drawings

  • Educated to ONC (or equivalent in an Engineering related discipline)

  • Able to commute to Newton Aycliffe
