A Financial Accountant is required to join a progressive, successful and growing Technology Services company. The company delivers a variety of outsourced, managed and project services across a wide range of clients in the SMB/SME marketplace as well as some public sector and third sector organisations.

They are looking for an experienced accountancy professional to join them on a permanent basis, to succeed an existing employee who will be retiring within 12 months. The company is employee owned and as such you will reap the rewards of the commitment and contribution you will bring to the team.

You must be well presented, able to communicate effectively (both face-to-face, over the phone and in written English), have sound time management and organisational skills, be a committed and flexible team player and relish success. You should be able to build rapport with clients, suppliers and colleagues.

Essential Skills and Knowledge
- Relevant accountancy qualification(s)
- Sage 50 experience
- Demonstrable experience in company accountant or FC role(s)
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills and a high level of competence with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, graphs, filtering and sorting
- Tax legislation

- Knowledge or experience of Xero
- Sage Payroll experience
- Willingness to work outside normal working hours on occasion

You will be responsible for managing all of the company's accounting functions and processes, including accounts payable and receivable, purchase and sales, overheads, expenses, bank accounts, credit cards, bank and other account reconciliations, VAT, asset register, direct debit collections and payments, credit control and cashflow. You will also be responsible for managing the group pension scheme, healthcare scheme and Share Incentive Plans. You will report directly to the Managing Director and ensure the completion of regular processes in a timely manner so that the Management team will be fully informed of financial KPIs on a monthly basis.

There is potential scope for recruiting an Accounts or Administrative Assistant at some point in the future.
