Human Resources Officer Vacancy Fixed Term Contact 12 Months to cover Maternity
Up to £23,000- dependant on experience and qualifications.
9am- 17pm 8 Hours per day, Lunch 30Mins, 25 days annual leave plus bank holiday, pension contribution, Life Assurance & Childcare Voucher Scheme.
This factory is one of three UK based factories who are part of the wider European Florette salad group. It is a well-established manufacturing facility based in Skelmersdale supplying pre packed bags and bowls of salad into the major retailers under their own label.
Main Purpose of the Job
To assist the Human Resources Manager in providing a professional and confidential service to all employees on all HR related processes.
Scope of Responsibility
- Ensuring all HR paperwork and processes meet legal requirements, assist with the recruitment and selection and introduction of new employees through their lifecycle at the factory
- Change Management: TUPE, organisation restructures & redundancies, organisational cost savings
HR Strategy & Project work: Employee Engagement, Staff retention, Well being.
- Advising on Employee Relations (Flexible working, conflict management, performance management)
- Reviewing benefits & rewards including salary reviews
- Disciplinary & Grievances
- Writing, implementing and reviewing company policies and procedures
- Recruitment: Writing job descriptions, negotiating fees & contracts, advertising vacancies, arranging/conducting interviews.
- Creating and delivering HR training to line managers
- Advising on Employee Relations (E.G: Absence management, Company Policies, Parental Leave)
- Dealing with all Disciplinary Hearings.
- HR Administration duties
- Planning and delivering training and keeping up to date records.
- Assisting and supporting line managers to understand and implement policies
- Working closely with payroll to advise on pay and other remuneration queries
- Project based work.
- Produce monthly statistical data for the HR Manager.
Working Requirement
- Minimum of 2 years' experience of working in an HR role
- CIPD fully qualified or working towards
- Fully conversant with all aspects of Employment Law
