Web Designer - with Developer skills

This company is currently looking for a talented and ambitious Web Designer to join their vibrant 28 person team working out of their central Bristol office.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable skills in responsive web design (with an awareness of UX, UI and IA), coupled with a solid appreciation of HTML and CSS that elevates your work.

An understanding of branding and print design are beneficial.

Your main duty will be to design responsive websites for their custom CMS platform, working closely alongside their Developer team. It is here, when designing new sites, that your ability to think in code will really shine, as their developers easily and efficiently implement your ideas.

Though designing websites will be your bread and butter, you will also be expected to work (varies) one support day a week. This involves implementing planned new functionality or design-related improvements for existing client websites, and answering client support calls to fix site issues.

Your work will require you to liaise directly with clients to clarify requirements and demonstrate changes - clear communication and a good phone manner are obviously important.

Similarly, your eye for design will be tested, as you will need to be able to discuss requirements with clients and offer them practical advise on design-related modifications to their site.

Applicants must have the following experience:

- Responsive web design
- Good telephone manner
- Creative Thinking
- Basic HTML
- Basic CSS

If you have any of these skills they consider it a bonus, if not, no problem:

- Javascript (ES5 / ES6), jQuery
- Sass
