For Falkirk Council employees this is a secondment opportunity. Prior to application please obtain confirmation from your current Line Manager that you can be released to take up this secondment opportunity, should you be successful.
You will be employed by Signpost Recovery. You will be based in the Municipal Buildings, Falkirk.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to support the Falkirk Community Planning Partnership and the Falkirk ADP to deliver the agreed local priorities and outcomes. You will be educated to degree level or have an equivalent qualification (i.e. Social Work or Nursing degree) and have significant experience of working in the substance misuse/social care field.
You will have primary responsibility for the Falkirk area but will work across Forth Valley to promote knowledge, prevention and the best response possible regarding substance misuse issues. Along with excellent written and oral communication skills, you will be able to analyse a wide range of information and also exercise a high level of initiative and use discretion and judgement when dealing with confidential matters. You will have experience of partnership working and have a proven ability to create and maintain effective working relationships.
This post is temporary for one year.
