Mobile Emergency Carer (FIF05526)
Working Pattern: 28 hours per week, 52 weeks per year (4 on 4 off - alternative shifts day/back/night
Interview Dates: Week commencing 31 October 2016
You will provide a response service to vulnerable people in the community and to respond to Community Alarm and Telecare activations.
Mobile Emergency Carers should have a positive, caring attitude, have the ability to work on their own as well as part of a Team and be able to undertake physical tasks.
Fife Council pays the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate to employees earning less than £8.33 per hour. If the hourly rate of pay for the post is less than the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate a supplement will be paid.
Before confirming appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Membership through Disclosure Scotland.
You will provide a response service for Fife’s Community Alarm and Telecare Service.
You will assist in Care at Home situations when a person requires assistance.
Mobile Emergency Carers are lone workers driving Council vehicles.
You will have previous Care at Home Experience/Awareness of National Care Standards.
You must have a SVQ 2 in Health and Social Care or willing to work towards.
Ability to work shifts – 4 on 4 off – dayshift/backshift/nightshift.
You must also hold a current Driving Licence to drive Council vehicles.
