Employment Officer – Tameside
21 hours (Monday-Wednesday)
Salary £22,676.00 per annum, pro rata.
Fixed term contract until 31st August 2017
12 month year on year extension subject to funding
Our client is a not-for-profit organisation with over 20 years of experience delivering innovative and high quality services. They support people with disabilities, mental health and people who have had a period out of work and help them to into real paid jobs.

About the Job:
As an Employment Officer you will project lead a successful supported internship which was set up at Tameside Hospital in September 2014.
A supported Internship is an employment focused education programme for 10 young people with learning disabilities in partnership with a college and local employer.
Key duties will include:
• Project Management and co-ordination alongside a Senior Employment Officer
• Regular meetings with families and school/college staff
• Completing vocational profiles based on skills and aspirations
• Matching work placements to the skills, talents and aspirations of our clients Interns
• Work closely with organisations and managers to ensure that Interns are given opportunities to develop and learn real work skills leading to paid work
• Secure job outcomes
• Building relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers within partner organisations
You will carry out all employer related activities and must secure a minimum of 5 paid outcomes per year whilst actively developing a larger network of employers
About You
You will have relevant work experience with a track record of high levels of achievement and be able to work under pressure
• Self motivated and enthusiastic worker with high energy levels
• Imaginative/creative approaches to the integration of people with disabilities into local community and into work
• Ability to make sound business decisions and work unsupervised
• Flexible in terms of working hours to meet the needs of the business
• Current driving licence and willingness to drive on business if necessary
