Position: Assistant Planner - Fresh Food
Location: Crawley
Salary: £23000 - £25000 per annum + Benefits
Job Type: Full Time
The company client is a well known FMCG business rapidly expanding who are actively looking to recruit a highly ambitious and sociable Assistant Planner to join their vibrant organisation based in Crawley. The successful applicant will mainly be responsible for liaising with suppliers on a day to day basis and placing weekly orders for fresh, ambient and drinks products. The role holder will be building key relationships between the internal and external teams and the customer service team to help support inventory reduction and increase OTIF.
Main duties for this position will include:
* Place daily fresh and ambient food orders
* Liaise with suppliers on a daily basis to ensure stock is OTIF
* Check and maintain stock against key availability targets
* Control of Fresh Food ordering vs wastage targets
* Deal with day to day warehouse queries
* Chase outstanding purchase orders
* General analysis and admin support
Main skills and background required:
* Graduate calibre
* A strong understanding of FMCG supply chain
* Experience working with both internal and external stakeholders
* Sage experience is highly desirable
* Highly computer literate - advanced excel
* Excellent communication and influencing to develop strong relationships internally and externally
* Able to prioritise and allocate time effectively
* Diligent in completion of tasks and projects
* Strong team player
* Highly organised and motivated
